  According to the article of phonetimes, Korea's economy has yet to recover from the global financial crisis, the government recently announced that it will focus on creating jobs and drawing up economy management plans for 2014. Finance Minister Hyun Oh-seok announced the plans about meeting with leader of major.

Hyun said "As a result, we could provide the economy management plan for the second half in a way that could cut the low growth trend and make the recovery in the private sector materialize."

Park Sae-eun, the first Korea's Ballerina to join the POB(the Paris Opera Ballet)

 In 2011, a ballerina named Park Sae-eun, received an accolade from the Paris Opera Ballet(POB). 

 After that in Nov. 9, she was promoted as a soloist. The POB is one of the three leading classical ballet companies(The Royal Ballet in England and the American Ballet Theatre) in the world.

She got first place among 130 candidates she auditioned for the POB. Also, she won the 2006 Jackson International Ballet Competition, the 2007 Prix de Lausanne Ballet Competition, and the 2011 Varna International Ballets competition, dominating three of four world's greatest concours.

 The first half the year, Blizzard will publish the expecting new game, Heroes of the Storm. It's name has changed three times. First it was called "Blizzard dota", next was "All Stars", and last one is "Heroes of the strom". It is expecting among many gamers, because of heroes of World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, and Diablo III.

 I think many LOL(League of Legends) users will play to Heroes of the storm, because it is new AOS(Aeon Of Strife)!

 

 

 Blizzard will also publish Diablo III's Expansion set : Reaper of souls next year. The new character Crusader will be added in the game!

Korean Contestant Wins Australia's 'The X Factor'

 

 Recently, a Korean immigrant named 'Im Da-mi' won an audition program in Australia. She came through the nail - biting competition and won The X Factor Australia 2013(A Television music competition to find new singing talent).

 

 She beated two finalistes, Taylor Henderson and Jai Waetford. Even her song, "Alive" also topped No. 1 on Australia's iTunes chart.

 

 She born in Korea in 1988 and moved to Australia with her family when she was nine-year old.

 

 

 

 

 

 I was surprised to see this article, because I think it is hard to win an audition program in other countries, especially Australia or America..

Study : Korea Only "Moderately Proficient" in English

 

 It is a conundrum that Korea even spend between 10 and 15 billion dollars a year, but Korea ranked 24th out of 60 countries in a global English proficiency index. According to the article, Korea was placed into the "Moderate Proficiency Group", which also included Slovakia, Argentina, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

 

 

The Study was conducted by EF Education, and they reported Korea has not seen a significant improvement in its English level, while the rest of Asia had made dramatic gains.

 

The institute added that China ranked 34th, showed great improvement. "China's improvement was a major achievement" they added.


I was surprised, because I didn't knew Korea was placed into the "Moderate Proficiency Group". I have many friends who can speak English fluently, and good at grammar. They were also preparing TOEFL! I cannot believe it.

이 이야기는 톨스토이의 단편작 중 하나이다. 어느날 세몬이라는 한 구두장이가 외상값을 받고 새 옷을 사려고 나서지만 아무에게서도 외상값을 받지 못하고 결국 술만 사 먹고 돌아가게 되었다. 그러던 중 교회앞의 한 벌거숭이 청년이 있는 것을 보았고 처음엔 그를 지나치려 했으나 그가 걱정되어 옷을 입히고 집으로 데려갔다. 처음에 그들은 본 세몬의 아내 마트료나는 세몬의 술 친구인줄 알고 내쫓으려 했지만 세몬의 이야기를 듣고 갑자기 온화해지면서 저녁을 주었다. 이 모습을 보고 갑자기 미하일이 방긋 웃었다. 이후 세몬과 같이 구두장이가 된 미하일은 솜씨가 대단해 사방에서 칭찬이 자자하였다. 그러던 어느 날, 한 부자가 찾아와 고급 구두를 주문하였는데 그가 돌아가는 모습을 보고 미하일이 또 한번 웃었다. 나중에 한 아주머니와 두 아이가 있는 모습을 보고도 웃었다. 이유는 이러하였다.

 

 첫번째로는 세몬이 마트료나에게 하느님이야기를 꺼내자 갑자기 성품이 온화해진 탓이었고, 두번째로는 한 부자가 자신이 죽을 운명인 것도 모르고 1년동안 닳지 않고 신을 구두를 만들어달라고 한 '지혜'를 갖지 못한 것이다.
